Waking up a Sensor Mote

Note: Before you begin, obtain the magnet.

To wake a new sensor mote from hibernation:

1. Tap and hold the magnet against the back of the sensor mote.

2. Keep the magnet in place for 5 seconds.

What to expect: 

• The light will turn on for 1 second and then turn off.

• The sensor mote will blink once or several times as it powers on.

• If a gateway is already assigned and in range, the light will blink rapidly while connecting.

Troubleshooting information:

• No light: If no light appears, try using a new battery.

• Still not blinking: Remove the battery for 15 minutes, then repeat the wake-up process.

• Replacement: If a blink sequence still does not occur after troubleshooting, the sensor mote may need to be replaced.
